Who is Mr. DiMucci?: Mr. Domenic DiMucci has taught Automotive Technology at Crawford Tech since 2021. He is a graduate of the former Crawford County AVTS Automotive Technology program and has worked at multiple dealerships including Lakeview Ford, Wentworth Ford, and Kightlinger Auto. He is certified in PA State Inspection and PA State Emissions. He is a Ford Senior Master Technician and has an Associates degree in Automotive Technology from CCAC.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mr. DiMucci’s favorite part about teaching is being able to return to the place where he acquired the skills to be an automotive technician and to help prepare the next generation of technicians for their future careers.

Outside of School: When Mr. DiMucci is not teaching; he enjoys fishing, cooking, overland expedition camping, and exploring all things automotive from past, present, and future.

Who is Mr. Mealy?: Mr. Mealy has been teaching H.V.A.C. Technology at Crawford Tech since 2022. He graduated from Triangle Institute of Technology with a diploma in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Refrigeration, and Building Controls. He worked 35 years in the HVAC trade, most of which were spent as an HVAC specialist and facilities mechanical supervisor at Allegheny College. He serviced, installed and repaired residential, institutional and industrial air conditioning, heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems. He has extensive training in DDC controls and building automation systems. He has a 608 Universal Technician Certification by the E.P.A for refrigeration transition and recovery.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mr. Mealy’s favorite part of teaching is sharing his knowledge with the next generation of HVAC Technicians. He enjoys watching them grow and learn the trade.

Outside of School: Mr. Mealy spends his time away from school flying drones, playing golf, shooting and reloading, and spending time outdoors.

Who is Mr. Douglas?: Mr. Dan Douglas has been the carpentry instructor at Crawford Tech since January 2022. Before his career in teaching, Mr. Douglas spent over 20 years in the carpentry field. He has been a self-employed contractor since 2007, and still runs his business when not in school.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mr. Douglas’ favorite part of teaching is being able to share all of his gained experience and knowledge with students.

Outside of School: When Mr. Douglas is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching football, and staying busy with woodworking and home improvement projects.

Who is Mrs. Saulsbery?: Mrs. Saulsbery has been the Health Occupations instructor at Crawford Tech since 2017. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.  After graduation she began her nursing career in the United States Air Force and served as an officer in the Nurse Corps for 4 years. She also completed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician course in December 2021.

Mrs. Saulsbery’s nursing experience includes Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Home Health, Head Start/Early Head Start Health/Nutrition Coordinator, Long Term Care, Correctional Nursing, and Emergency Room Nursing.  Her teaching experience includes Assistant Obstetrical Nursing Instructor at Sharon Regional School of Nursing and Assistant Nursing Instructor for Crawford Tech Adult Practical Nursing Program. Mrs Saulsbery also instructs the Crawford Tech Adult Nurse Aide Program.

Mrs. Saulsbery is also one of the SkillsUSA Advisors, the NTHS Advisor, and serves as the Technical Chairperson for PA SkillsUSA Medical Terminology Contest for District 10.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mrs. Saulsbery’s favorite part of teaching is the ability to share her passion for the medical field with her students. She loves seeing students get excited about their futures in the health profession.

Outside of School: When Mrs. Saulsbery is not busy teaching, she is spending time with her family. She enjoys being outside, riding side-by-sides and 4-wheelers, and cheering for the Cleveland Browns. She, her two sons, and her daughter are all active members of the Fallowfield Fire and Rescue in Atlantic, PA.

Who is Mr. Custead?: Mr. Custead has been teaching welding at Crawford Tech since 2009. He teaches at the Meadville Main Campus School. He is a graduate of the former Crawford County AVTS Welding program and Cochranton High School. He worked in the welding field after graduation, prior to opening his own welding shop, Custead Welding and Fabrication, in 2008. He is a certified AWS Welder.

Mr. Custead is also one of the SkillsUSA advisors at Crawford Tech.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mr. Custead’s favorite part of teaching is being able to work with the students and seeing their growth and maturity over the 3 years of his program. He also loves when former students return to visit and share their success that was made possible due to what they learned at tech.

Outside of School: When Mr. Custead is not teaching, he spends most of his time outdoors, hunting both archery and rifle. He also loves supporting the local high school sports and finds time to watch his students play as often as he can. He is the former varsity boys’ volleyball coach for Cochranton, which he enjoyed for more than 20 years.

Who is Mrs. Stein?: Mrs. Stein has been teaching at Crawford Tech since 2002. She started by teaching Cosmetology, but then transitioned to teaching Cooperative Education in 2014. She is a graduate of the former Crawford County AVTS Cosmetology program and Maplewood High School. She has been a hairstylist for over 35+ years.

Before becoming a teacher, Mrs. Stein was a hairdresser at The Hair Company in Meadville for 17 years. She received her Vocational I and II Instructor Teaching Certification and her Cooperative Education certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education through Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mrs. Stein’s favorite part of teaching is building relationships with her students and watching them learn and grow as young adults in the workplace. Watching students get excited about the skills they are learning day after day on the job. She finds it exciting to see students that want to show their work off to the world because they are so proud of what they are doing.

Outside of School: Outside of school, Mrs. Stein spends most of her time in her flower garden. She finds gardening to be relaxing and enjoyable. The benefits of gardening as a hobby go a long way both physically and mentally.

Who is Mr. Chernicky?: Mr. Chernicky has been the Electrical Occupations instructor at Crawford Tech since 2017. Prior to teaching Mr. Chernicky held positions at Chernicky Electric, R.E. Johnson Electric, and Lathrop Electric Incorporated, specializing in new and old work residential, commercial and industrial electric construction. While working in the field Mr. Chernicky obtained his Journeyman Electrician License from the Independent Electrical Contractors of North Western Pennsylvania. Mr. Chernicky is a graduate of the Crawford County Career and Technical Center Electrical Occupations program, and Cambridge Springs High School.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mr. Chernicky’s favorite part of teaching is being able to educate the youth of tomorrow and hear the success stories that come from the graduates sharing what they achieve in life following their time in Electrical Occupations.

Outside of School: When Mr. Chernicky is not at school; he likes spending time with friends and family, even taking time to coach his daughters’ sports teams. He loves being outdoors hunting, fishing, and even playing slow-pitch softball in the summer. He stays active in his field by working as a part-time electrician during the summer as well. Overall, he enjoys working with his hands and considers it his personal therapy.

Who is Mr. Fuller?: Mr. John Fuller has taught Auto Collision Repair Technology at Crawford Tech since 1991. He is a graduate of the former Crawford County AVTS-Auto Collision Program, and has worked at two General Motors dealerships. He is a certified Auto Collision Technician for Chevrolet and Pontiac Motor Divisions. Mr. Fuller is a Certified Painter through PPG Industries’ Painter Certification Program. He is an ASE Master Technician in Auto Collision Repair. He received his Certification for VocationalTechnical Instructor I and II + 16 through Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Favorite Part of Teaching: Mr. Fuller’s favorite part of his career is watching students improve their skills from that of an entry level student to that of a technician and colleague.

Outside of School: Mr. Fuller is a Volunteer FireFighter and First Responder.
