Michael Costa

Mr. Michael Costa has spent most of his educational career as a teacher and Administrator in Northwest Pennsylvania for the PENNCREST School District (20 years before coming to Crawford Tech).  He attained his Bachelor’s of Music Education, Masters in School Leadership (Administration), and his Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Edinboro University.  He also attended Youngstown State University for educational coursework and received his Master’s of Music Education/Performance.

Prior to and during his educational career, Mr. Costa worked in industry, including several years at Insul-Board in Erie PA, worked on boats and PWC’s during summers at Riemann’s Marine in Conneaut Lake, and also worked summers for the Meadville Streets Department.  Mr. Costa resides in Crawford County with his wife.  He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing his guitars, watching soccer, riding his motorcycle, playing fetch with his dogs, working on his house and property and working on vehicles.

Kevin Sprong

Mr. Kevin Sprong has spent his entire educational career as a teacher and Administrator in Northwestern Pennsylvania. He attained his Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education, and a Superintendent’s Letter of Eligibility from Edinboro University. He also attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania for educational coursework and received his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership/Administration from California University ofPennsylvania. Mr. Sprong started his teaching career in PENNCREST School District prior to his twelve years with Forest Area School District, where he was a teacher, coach, Athletic Director, Principal, andSuperintendent. Mr. Sprong joined the Crawford County Career and Technical Center team in 2012 and was appointed Director in 2015. Prior to his educational career, Mr. Sprong worked in industry, including several years in the tool and die trade, commercial truck driving/sales, and working at a local lumber yard. Mr. Sprong resides in Crawford County with his wonderful family. He enjoys spending time with them, traveling, riding/driving anything with a motor or engine, and is an avid outdoorsman.
